Chiltern Firehouse

Chiltern Firehouse is the restaurant in the new Andre Balazs hotel located at 1 Chiltern Street, Marylebone, London, occupying the building of the former Marylebone Fire Station. It is London’s hottest celebrity hangout right now and that’s why paparazzi are continually parked outside. Apart from the celebrities, it’s worth visiting Chiltern Firehouse for the building itself, which is very beautiful  boasting high ceilings, amazing floors, impressive decoration and a picturesque courtyard. The atmosphere in the restaurant  is amazing and the menu is ok... I believe the best seats are at the kitchen counter, where you can watch the chefs at work in their lavishly appointed huge open kitchen. I really enjoyed my brunch in Chiltren Firehouse and if you are in London, you should definitely visit it!

Το Chiltern Firehouse είναι το εστιατόριο στο νέο ξενοδοχείο του Andre Balazs που βρίσκεται στον αριθμό 1 της Chiltern Street στο Marylebone του Λονδίνου,και καταλαμβάνει το κτίριο του πρώην Πυροσβεστικού Σταθμού του Marylebone. Είναι το πιο hot στέκι των διασημοτήτων του Λονδίνου αυτή την στιγμή και γι 'αυτό το λόγο οι παπαράτσι είναι συνεχώς σταθευμένοι από έξω. Εκτός από τις διασημότητες,αξίζει να επισκεφτεί κανείς το Chiltern Firehouse για το ίδιο το κτίριο το οποίο είναι πολύ όμορφο, ψηλοτάβανο, με καταπληκτικά πατώματα, εντυπωσιακή διακόσμηση και μια πολύ γραφική αυλή. Η ατμόσφαιρα στο εστιατόριο είναι εκπληκτική και το μενού είναι καλό ... Οι καλύτερες θέσεις πιστεύω ότι είναι στο πάγκο της κουζίνας, όπου μπορεί  κανείς να παρακολουθήσει τους σεφ να δημιουγούν στην τεράστια ανοιχτή κουζίνα τους. Απόλαυσα πραγματικά το brunch μου στο Chiltren Firehouse και αν είστε στο Λονδίνο μην παραλείψετε να το επισκεφτείτε!

noodles with lobster /με αστακό

and of course chocolate tart with ice-cream for dessert!!!

και φυσικά για γλυκό τάρτα σοκολάτας με παγωτό!!!

My visit to the National Gallery!

One 'must see' when you are in London, whether you are an art lover or not, is the National Gallery.  The reason is that it displays one of the finest collections of Western European painting, representing artists of the late medieval period and Renaissance to the French impressionists.  But moreover, it's the building of the National Gallery which is a 'must see' attraction, situated in Trafalgar Square.
So, a stop at the National Gallery was a must for me and Androniki, since there is always something new to see, exhibited in the Gallery.

Κάτι που' πρέπει να δείς' όταν βρίσκεσαι στο Λονδίνο , είτε είσαι λάτρης της τέχνης είτε όχι, είναι η Εθνική Πινακοθήκη.  Ο λόγος είναι ότι εκθέτει μία από τις καλύτερες συλλογές της δυτικοευρωπαϊκής ζωγραφικής, εκπροσωπώντας καλλιτέχνες της μεσαιωνικής περιόδου και της Αναγέννησης ως τους Γάλλους ιμπρεσιονιστές.  Αλλά επιπλέον, το κτίριο της Εθνικής Πινακοθήκης είναι ένα αξιοθέατο που πρέπει να δεις, το οποίο βρίσκεται στην πλατεία Trafalgar.
Έτσι, μία στάση στην Εθνική Πινακοθήκη ήταν απαραίτητη για εμένα και την Ανδρονική, αφού πάντα υπάρχει κάτι καινούριο να δεις, το οποίο εκτίθεται στην Πινακοθήκη.

Our day couldn't end better than having some drinks with our friend George in a new entry place, the amazing bar of London Edition Hotel, highly recommended if you' ll be in London.
Η μέρα μας δε θα μπορούσε να τελειώσει καλύτερα από το να βγούμε για ποτό με τον φίλο μας Γιώργο σ' ένα καινούριο μέρος, το καταπληκτικό μπαρ του London Edition Hotel, το οποίο σας συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα αν βρεθείτε στο Λονδίνο.
