La Mariniere (part 2)

Continuing from yesterday's post, let's see some more ways in which we can wear the all time classic mariniere...

Συνεχίζοντας το χθεσινό post, ας δούμε μερικούς ακόμη τρόπους με τους οποίους μπορούμε να φορέσουμε την all time classic μαρινιέρα...

3.  You can create a rock look, combining your black and white mariniere with your leather jacket and a pair of studded slippers.

3.  Μπορείτε να δημιουργήσετε ένα ροκ ντύσιμο, συνδυάζοντας την ασπρόμαυρη μαρινιέρα σας με το δερμάτινο σακάκι σας και ένα ζευγάρι φλατ slippers.

4.  I also like to combine my black and white mariniere with my favourite leather pants and a tweed jacket, completing the look with black heels and a studded clutch.

5.  Regarding the black and white mariniere, I loved the way my friend Dimitra styled it, pairing it with leather shorts, a nautical white and black foulard, and a pair of ballerinas.

5.  Όσον αφορά την ασπρόμαυρη μαρινιέρα, μου άρεσε ο τρόπος με τον οποίο η φίλη μου η Δήμητρα τη συνδύασε, ταιριάζοντάς την μ'ένα δερμάτινο σορτς, ένα ασπρόμαυρο ναυτικό φουλάρι, κι ένα ζευγάρι μπαλαρίνες.

6.  Βecause grey is my favourite colour, I couldn't dismiss an outfit that combines a striped top with my grey jeans and my new pair of sneakers...

La Mariniere

Even though we don't feel it much yet, Spring is officially here.  Thus, it's the most suitable time to search for our favourite 'mariniere' or navy striped top in our wardrobe.  It's an all time classic and always chic piece that completes safely an outfit.

Αν και δεν το αισθανόμαστε αρκετά ακόμα, η Άνοιξη είναι επισήμως έδω.  Έτσι είναι η ιδανική ώρα να ψάξουμε για την αγαπημένη μας 'μαρινιέρα' ή ναυτική ριγέ μπλούζα στη ντουλάπα μας.  Είναι το πιο κλασσικό και πάντα κομψό ρούχο που συμπληρώνει με ασφάλεια ένα ντύσιμο.

Although the history of the mariniere takes us back to the uniform of the National Marine of France,

Αν και η ιστορία της μαρινιέρας μας πάει πίσω στη σχολή του Εθνικού Ναυτικού της Γαλλίας,

the navy striped top is an important element of the fashion world.  But, it's Jean Paul Gaultier who is the most loyal designer to the mariniere during the last decades.

η ναυτική ριγέ μπλούζα είναι ένα σημαντικό στοιχείο στον κόσμο της μόδας.  Αλλά ο πιο πιστός σχεδιαστής στη μαρινιέρα τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες είναι ο Jean Paul Gaultier.

Τhere are numerous ideas on how you can wear the mariniere.  Paired with colourful or even floral pants, skirts, or shorts.  Stripes in classic navy, intense colours, or in black and white invade our wardrobe and style our outfit.

Υπάρχουν πολλές ιδέες για να φορεθεί η μαρινιέρα.  Συνδυασμένη με χρωματιστά ή ακόμα και φλοράλ παντελόνια, φούστες ή σορτς.  Οι ρίγες στα κλασσικά ναυτικά, έντονα χρώματα, ή σε μαύρο και λευκό εισβάλλουν στη ντουλάπα μας και δίνουν στυλ στο ντύσιμό μας.

The ones that match more to my personal style, which is more classic, and I would like to share with you are the following:

Αυτά που ταιριάζουν περισσότερο στο προσωπικό μου στυλ, το οποίο είναι πιο κλασσικό, και θα ήθελα να μοιραστώ μαζί σας είναι τα ακόλουθα:

1.  One of the most classic and favourite combinations is pairing the mariniere with the blazer jacket.  But by adding All Star shoes and a little pop of green colour, you avoid being boring!

1.  Ένας από τους πιο κλασσικούς κι αγαπημένους συνδυασμούς είναι η μαρινιέρα με το blazer  σακάκι.  Αλλά, προσθέτοντας παπούτσια All Star και μια μικρή πινελιά πράσινου χρώματος, αποφεύγεις να γίνεις βαρετή!

2.  Wear the mariniere with your all time classic trench coat.  I chose to add my lace ballerinas in the total outfit.

2.  Φορέστε τη μαρινιέρα σας με την κλασσική σας καμπαρντίνα.  Επέλεξα να προσθέσω στο συνολικό ντύσιμο τις δαντελένιες μπαλαρίνες μου.
